Laser rejuvenation treatments in Stamford & Peterborough

LASER GENESIS

Laser genesis is a non-ablative laser treatment to treat many skin concerns. It’s truly amazing at treating acne, rosacea, scarring, uneven skin tone and enlarged pores. It works on the surface to refine the skin and It’s works deeply in the skins layers to boost collagen and elastin production, improving fine lines, wrinkles and skin tightness.

Up to 10,000 light pulses per treatment activate the biological processes in the deep layers of the skin which house our integral collagen and elastin fibres – building and banking collagen and elastin. The heat from the laser can also constrict blood vessels, which helps fight redness and rosacea. It can also help treat acne and scarring.

This is the perfect facial for someone who wants results with relaxation. We start with a deep cleanse, a lactic acid peel and perform between 12,000-14,000 shots of laser genesis. Laser genesis feels warming and very comfortable. This wonderful facial ends with Omnilux light therapy and a hand and arm massage.

This treatment helps to treat a variety of concerns. It reduces lines, wrinkles, rosacea, acne, redness.. Laser Genesis is seen as incredible skin health treatment within the aesthetic industry. Scarring, fine lines and skin texture including large pore size are also improved via collagen stimulation with this micro-pulse light technology.

How does it feel and is there any downtime?
Laser genesis feels warming and very comfortable. There is no downtime with just laser genesis alone, you may have a slight warmth and redness to your skin but this looks more like a healthy glow than anything invasive.
How many treatments will I need and what results will I see?
We recommend a course of six-eight treatments with four week intervals to see changeable results.

IPL LIMELIGHT

Cutera’s LimeLight delivers a non-invasive light treatment that can be customised for different skin tones and aging conditions, resulting in an exceptional skin revitalization treatment with minimal discomfort. It is most commonly used to treat hyperpigmentation, sun spots, benign pigmented lesions, and vascular concerns.

This photo-facial uses Non-invasive Intense Pulsed Light energy (IPL) which is deposited into the deepest layers of the skin. When the skin is heated, your body gets rid of the unwanted cells, and that gets rid of the thing you’re being treated for. Unlike lasers, an IPL sends out more than one wavelength of pulsating light.

Whilst IPL is not described as a relaxing facial it does deliver amazing results! During the procedure, people may feel a pinching sensation. Some individuals have described this as a feeling similar to an elastic band being “pinged” on the skin. We will help to minimise any discomfort by performing with an aloe Vera gel and ice cold packs to numb the skin. Depending on the concern your treating, you may find you start to see darkening patches where your pigment is coming through or redness if you’re treating rosacea/broken capillaries. These are all normal signs, your practitioner will explain prior to your treatment on what to expect.

The best candidates for photo-facials are people with sun-damaged skin demonstrated by age spots, liver spots, rosacea, acne and light freckling, hyperpigmentation, enlarged pores, red and flushed faces, broken capillaries and loose skin. An added benefit is that the photo-facial stimulates new collagen, resulting in smoother, healthier skin.

How many treatments will I need and what results will I see?
Depending on what concern you’re treating depends on the amount of treatments. If it’s skin rejuvenation you can results in as little of three treatments. If you’re treating pigmentation or ageing concerns this may be up to six to eight with four week intervals. This is all discussed with your aesthetic practitioner.
Is there any downtime?
When treating pigmentation we would expect to see the pigmented areas go instantly darker. This will then appear in a ‘coffee grain’ appearance that will go dry and disappear within three to five days. When treating veins they can appear darker at first, you can also experience some redness and heat within the skin. Slight discomfort can be expected immediately after the treatment.

THE 2D FACIAL (LASER GENESIS AND IPL COMBINED)

The advanced combination therapy laser treatment that is truly the best for rosacea, acne, ageing concerns and pigmentation. Combining both the Laser Genesis and IPL Limelight. It’s the most common for several skin conditions to be present in our skin at once – particularly after the age of 30.

The IPL Limelight & Laser Genesis combination pulsed light therapies provide relief from skin redness and capillary damage while simultaneously promoting collagen activation. This will plump fine lines and reduce hyperpigmentation at the layers where cellular breakdown begins. We include a Peel and Omnilux LED light therapy in this treatment to maximise your results.

The combination of the two lasers work deeper within the skin to stimulate collagen and elasticity, normalise your capillary network and improve skin’s texture. When combating ageing concerns it’s important we have regular facials to boost collagen levels. It’s a bit like taking your skin to the gym!

We begin by warming up the skin with laser genesis, this works in synergy with the IPL. Some individuals have described IPL as a feeling similar to an elastic band being “pinged” on the skin. We will help to minimise any discomfort by performing with an aloe Vera gel and ice cold packs to numb the skin. We then finish the 2D facial with omnilux light therapy and some relaxation – a hand and arm massage whilst the omnilux enhances your results of the laser!

The best candidates for the 2D facial are people with sun-damaged skin demonstrated by age spots, liver spots, rosacea and light freckling, hyperpigmentation, enlarged pores, red and flushed faces, broken capillaries and loose skin. An added benefit is that the photo-facial stimulates new collagen, resulting in smoother, healthier skin.

PEARL FRACTIONAL LASER (YSGG LASER)

Pearl Fractional is the gold standard of Fractional lasers by Cutera designed to improve fine lines to deep set wrinkles, pigmentation, mild to deep scarring, large open pores, textural problems and sun damage. Pearl Fractional offers the best combination of safety, patient experience and recovery time. Once your skin has healed your skin will be completely renewed and glowing.

Fractional Laser describes a treatment that affects only a fraction or small percentage of the skin. With Pearl Fractional, laser pulses treat damaged cells deep in the skin. This fractional treatment selectively removes columns of tissue leaving the surrounding skin intact. This treatment shortens healing time and stimulates the body’s own natural process for creating new collagen, plumping the skin from below and reversing ageing and other imperfections.

  • Tiny holes (the size of a pore) ensure maximum results with minimal risk and down time.
  • Controlled energy means a more comfortable patient experience
  • Treatments are safe and effective with rapid recovery.

Firstly we anaesthetise the skin to ensure maximum comfort, during the procedure the laser uses heat to create tiny holes deep in the skin. The process removes sun-damaged tissue and then stimulates the growth of healthy, new skin, full of fresh collagen. This plumps the skin from below, repairing photo-damage and other skin imperfections.

Clients with light-to-medium skin tones and skin imperfections due to ageing, post acne scarring, open pores, bumpy texture and sun damage will benefit from a Pearl Fractional treatment. A consultation is required with this treatment.

How many Treatments will I need?
Single treatment results are possible because our large 300 micron spot size ablates enough tissue in one pass, however for severely damaged skin, up to four treatments may be required.

Wound healing causes increased fibroblast activity and long term collagen deposition. Once your skin is recovered your skin will instantly look smoother and tighter, but final Improvements will be seen 6-8 months after your treatment.
